"YW4A" young women gathered to mark International Youth Day
On the occasion of International Youth Day, YWCA Palestine hosted a central
gathering for young women in the Young Women's Awareness, Agency, Advocacy, and
Accountability Programme (YW4A) on Saturday, August 17, in the "Youth
Village" in Kafr Ni'ma, west of Ramallah, with over 120 young women from
various governorates in attendance.
The
gathering included trainings, discussions and team building activities, as well
as presentations on community initiatives developed by young women to address issues
such as young women's political participation, child marriage, workplace
harassment, domestic violence, and others.
The
YW4A is one of YWCA Palestine's strategic programs, implemented in
collaboration with a number of local, regional, and international partners.
YW4A’s
strategic objective is to defend and expand the fulfilment of young women’s
rights to dignity, bodily integrity, and equal participation in
decision-making, through the implementation of gender-just policies and laws.
YWCA
