Christian women and was formally established in Jerusalem in 1918. The YWCA
empowers women and youth to demand, exercise and protect their economic, social
and political rights.
The YWCA of Palestine is looking
for a Full-time Senior Accountant at the National office in in Ramallah.

Summary:
Senior
Accounting Responsibilities Supervise all accounting and financial activities,
ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and accounting
standards. Provide necessary financial support to enhance the Association’s
financial performance and contribute to achieving its strategic objectives.
1.
Preparing
payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
2.
Recording
and bookkeeping of financial transactions includes payments, receipts and other
journal entries in the Bisan system.
3.
Preparing
Bank reconciliations.
4.
Facilitating
and assisting monthly close procedures.
5.
Preparing
internal and external financial reports when requested.
6.
Assisting
in preparing Income tax and Payroll tax.
7.
Conducting
field visits to banks, tax department, etc.
8.
Ensuring
proper general company filing (Finance, Admin, Contracts, etc) and maintaining
a hard and soft archiving system.
9.
Performing
other Financial, Administrative, and office tasks as per the job requirements.
10. Review the petty cash reports and prepare replenishment
payments to be submitted for the Financial Manager for approval
11. Support administration and program staff in
application of financial policies and procedures, including procurement
12. Prepare tax deduction payments to be paid for
the Ministry of Finance on monthly basis.
13. Manage all daily transactions for banks:
soliciting statements, deposits, transfers, withdrawals, etc.
14. Make sure of proper filling system
15. Any other related tasks as requested by the
Finance Manager
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's
degree in accounting or a related field.
- At least 5
years of experience in financial accounting.
- Strong
knowledge of international accounting standards and accounting systems
(such as Bisan).
- Analytical
skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to
work independently and as part of a team.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong
communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal
and external stakeholders.
- Excellent
organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to
work under pressure and meet deadlines.
