Meet Our Intern Hani Shninah
Hello. My name is Hani Shninah, and I am 23 years old. I graduated from Birzeit University with a BA in Sociology in 2020, and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in the same specialization. I joined the internship program of the YWCA of Palestine because I enjoyed being part of the association as a volunteer and I witnessed its efforts towards the empowerment of women, youth, and marginalized communities. This motivated me to try to join the internship program, so I can contribute to these efforts. I look forward to benefitting from the experience of the supervisors working in the different focus areas of the association to contribute to helping marginalized groups. One of the most important focus areas is youth and community work, as it promotes youth participation in social development, and allows them to develop their personal skills. Youth and community work also combat the exploitation of the marginalized, help young people gain the needed experience in different areas, and promote social integration.
