Rana Habayeb holds BA in Business Administration. She has extensive experience in Management and Public Relations. She started her career as an intern at the British Bank and later worked in Chartering and Shipping at KAWAR Shipping Company in Jordan for seven years. In 1999, she moved to Palestine to work as an Administrative Coordinator at the World Trade Center. In 2001, she was appointed as the Head of Mayor’s Office, Ramallah Municipality. In 2013, she moved to head the sections of Local & International Relations/PR Department, and is currently heading the Programs and Community Participation Section within the Cultural Department. Habayeb values voluntary work and its impact on individuals & societies. In 2010, she joined the YWCA of Ramallah and served on its Board of Directors for two consecutive terms. She was the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Palestine since 2016 until 2022. She as well serves as a member of the Ramallah Lions Club. Habayeb believes in the importance of women and youth empowerment, especially through intergenerational leadership. She seconds the saying that “women are real architects of society” and stresses that their empowerment is what makes the society stronger and harmonious.
